It's Friday and my mind wanders.............I love to go camping, but don't get the opportunity as much anymore. We used to have "AGO" or "Arkansas Great Outdoor" weekends that often took us to North, AR for fishing. This was during my 20's and time was more readily available.
Calico Rock and Heber Springs (Little Red River) came to be favorite trips. It seems camping is finding a renaissance in the Natural State of late. Several friends have recently inquired about insuring RV's and pull-behind trailers. You pretty much have great camping in your own backyard if you live in the natural state. Wynne and Forrest City have Village Creek and Marianna has St Francis National Forest with Bear Creek/Beech Point campgrounds. Stuttgart has Maddox Bay nearby.
Enjoy what the Natural state offers with camping this summer and remember to be safe:
-Have a first aid kit
-Never approach wild animals
-Watch where you walk!
-Wear that sunscreen
-Never hike alone
-Practice fire safety and watch out for fuel containers around campfires!
Oh - insurance plug. We have Great Companies like Progressive, Safeco, and Travelers that insure RV's and Campers. Call us to get a quote.
